Our IT Operations team plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of the services that support our business. As IT Operations Team Lead, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, driving operational excellence while continuously improving processes, tooling, and automation.
Working closely with teams across IT, you will help shape the future of IT Operations by introducing modern approaches to monitoring, event management, and automation, enabling the team to operate more efficiently and proactively.

Your tasks

* Lead, coach, and develop the IT Operations team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and service-oriented culture
* Drive the continuous improvement of IT Operations processes, tools, and ways of working
* Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency
* Contribute to the evolution of monitoring and event management capabilities, improving visibility, alerting, and operational responsiveness
* Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies, including AI-powered solutions, to enhance operational decision-making and service delivery
* Ensure the reliable execution of core operational activities, including patch management, backup and recovery processes, monitoring, and incident response
* Collaborate closely with NOC, IT Infrastructure, Application Solution Management, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
* Support workload planning, prioritization, and resource allocation across the team
* Establish and monitor operational KPIs and contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality and performance

Your profile

* 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or Systems Administration, with proven ownership of enterprise-scale operational environments
* Demonstrated experience designing and managing patch management strategies for large-scale infrastructures (100+ servers), ideally leveraging automation and orchestration
* Solid expertise in backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity, including recovery testing, failover scenarios, and RTO/RPO planning
* Experience modernizing monitoring and event management by implementing or migrating to modern, API-first monitoring platforms
* Strong experience driving infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or comparable Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks
* First leadership experience with a proven ability to coach, guide, and develop technical teams
* Strong hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments
* Good understanding of IT Service Management principles and frameworks, preferably ITIL
* Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar IT Operations platforms is an advantage
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written; German is a plus
