IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

To support our growing organisation we are currently looking for

IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

Your main responsibilities:

* Maintain, support and further develop the network environment, including the Data Center and office locations
* Administer and maintain Microsoft ecosystem services, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange and Active Directory
* Support and execute Disaster Recovery procedures, including regular testing and improvements
* Operate and maintain backup solutions (e.g. Veeam, Networker), ensuring data integrity and availability
* Monitor IT infrastructure using SolarWinds or similar monitoring tool
* Provide second-level support resolving tickets in Jira
* Provide operational support to the team in maintaining IT infrastructure services
* Implement and maintain network solutions, including VLAN, BGP, ACLs and related network components
* Implement and maintain firewalls, including ACL configuration, routing, firmware upgrades, VPN, syslog and general firewall operations
* Coordinate and work efficiently with external partners/vendors to ensure smooth operations of internal tools
* Actively participate in IT projects and contribute to successful implementation

You are a good fit if you have:

* Higher education, preferably in a technical/IT field
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in administering IT network infrastructure
* Experience with implementing and maintaining network solutions using Ruckus (or Cisco/Extreme), including VLAN, BGP, ACLs and strong overall networking knowledge
* Experience with virtualization and/or backup solutions (e.g. VMware, Veeam)
* Experience in implementing and maintaining firewalls (Cisco or similar), including ACL configuration, routing, firmware upgrades, VPN and syslog administration
* Experience supporting Disaster Recovery procedures with VMware SRM; knowledge of Veeam for disaster recovery is an advantage
* Experience building network infrastructure from scratch, including SD-WAN solutions
* Very good command of English (German, Polish or French is a plus)
* Strong communication and documentation skills, including Jira
* Proactive, structured work approach and ownership of assigned tasks, processes and documentation
* Willingness to grow professionally and collaborate effectively within the team
* Willingness to travel (once per quarter), driving license would be a plus

Nice to have:

* PAM knowledge
* Familiarity with ITIL practices

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Spedition & Logistik Industry in occupation group B/I with a minimum salary of EUR 2.663,50 gross per month. Our salary package is based on current market salaries and starts at 60.000 gross per year (full-time basis).
